What the ride looks like
A quad ride around Hammamet usually leaves from a base outside the resort area and follows guided tracks through palm groves, sandy paths and open countryside. You ride in a group behind a guide, at a pace everyone can follow, with breaks for photos.
Do I need a licence or experience?
Guided rides are designed for beginners: the guide starts with a safety briefing and a practice lap. Age limits, who may drive and who may ride as a passenger depend on the activity, and each activity page states them.
Solo or shared quad?
You can usually ride your own machine or share one between two people. Sharing costs less per person, while riding solo means each of you drives the whole way.
What to wear and bring
Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty. Sunglasses and sunscreen help, and a scarf is useful against the dust. Helmets are provided by the organiser.
When to go
In summer, morning and late-afternoon departures are the most comfortable. The rest of the year, any time of day works well. Book a few days ahead in high season, as groups fill up.
