Water activities in Hammamet: jet ski, parasailing and boat trips

The Bay of Hammamet is made for time on the water. How to choose between jet ski, parasailing and a boat trip, and how to prepare.

Why Hammamet works for water activities

Hammamet lies on a wide bay with long sandy beaches, and the Yasmine Hammamet marina is the starting point for many outings. In the warm months, the sea is the heart of a stay here.

Jet ski: the thrill option

A jet ski outing gives you speed and spray in a short session. You ride with an instructor nearby after a briefing, and you wear a life jacket. Age limits and who may drive appear on each activity page.

Parasailing: the bay from above

Towed behind a boat under a parachute, you rise above the bay and take off and land from the boat. It is calm once you are up, and it suits people who want the view more than the speed.

Boat trips: the relaxed day

A boat trip along the coast is the gentlest choice, often with a swimming stop in a quiet cove. It suits families and groups, and it lasts longer than a jet ski or parasailing session.

Before you go

Bring a swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen and a bottle of water, and leave valuables at the hotel. Outings depend on the sea: if the weather turns, the organiser may move or cancel the session.
